Purpose
As a Guest Service Agent, at The Sebel Sydney Chatswood you will play a pivotal role as the friendly face and warm welcome that sets the tone for our guests' entire stay. Your responsibilities span from the moment they check in to the time they check out, ensuring that you are at the forefront of delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable experiences for our valued guests.
In this unique environment, high standards are expected, and you will often be required to work independently at reception, handling inquiries from hotel guests, residents, and contractors. We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting and can confidently work unsupervised across the front desk operations with efficiency and professionalism.
Primary Responsibilities
- Roll out the red carpet of hospitality, ensuring every guest feels like a VIP from check-in to check-out
- Confidently communicate with guests, residents, and contractors, ensuring smooth and professional interactions at all times
- Independently handle reception duties, including managing guest inquiries, resident concerns, and contractor access
- Conquer challenges alongside guests, transforming dilemmas into success stories
- Promote hotel amenities and services by having a deep understanding of products and offerings
- Be the local legend, sharing information on neighbourhood hotspots and must-visit gems from your treasure trove of knowledge
- Display proficiency in accurately handling reservations and managing guest accounts
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in hotel front desk operations is essential, preferably in a high-expectation environment
- Proven ability to work independently, demonstrating confidence and sound decision-making skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently
- Exceptional organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple responsibilities at once
- Skilled at collaborating within teams while being highly capable of managing front desk operations solo
- Proficiency in both written and verbal communication, ensuring clear and professional interactions with guests, residents, and contractors
- Capable of embracing a flexible rotating schedule, including nights, overnights, weekends, and public holidays as required
