Conference and Events Coordinator
Mantra Mooloolaba Beach has prime position on the busy Mooloolaba beachfront, less than 90 minutes north of Brisbane. Purpose
As our Conference & Events Coordinator, you will assist with the smooth and profitable running of the Conference & Events Department. The role involves enquiry handling, proactive and reactive sales, and collaborating with clients, suppliers, colleagues, and management to create successful corporate events and experiences. You will also play a key role in the day-to-day operations of events, ensuring seamless execution, coordination of resources, and maintaining high standards of service throughout the event process.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients throughout the entire event process, from initial planning and site inspections to event coordination and post-event follow-up
- Coordinate room setups and resets, ensuring all spaces meet client specifications and are prepared according to the event schedule
- Oversee event operations, ensuring the seamless execution of the event order and consistently meeting client satisfaction standards
- Assist with catering arrangements, including coordinating morning and afternoon tea, ensuring timely service and maintaining high client satisfaction
- Coordinate logistics, managing equipment, contractors, resources, and personnel involved in supporting the event
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the event
- Drive revenue growth through proactive sales techniques
Skills and Experience
- Past experience in a similar role, demonstrated precision in coordination and providing exceptional customer service while exceeding expectations
- Proficient in negotiating with suppliers, vendors, and clients to establish favourable terms that benefit all parties involved
- You foster a can – do approach with impeccable attention to detail and exceptional time management skills
- Previous operational experience in a dynamic food and beverage operation and proficiency in iVvy is highly regarded
- Flexible availability to accommodate various shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
